Hi all.
After a very intense weekend gaming I've
decided to write up my adventures and discuss my games. So its been almost a
year since my last post on my blog and I have been very busy after a few
faction swaps and @Noddin_Dog Shouting at me a few times to stay on a faction, I
finally found myself a new home with Circle.
6 months with Circle and lots of loses and
a few caster changes I finally settled on 3 casters I feel and get on with.
Kromac was at the start was a go to caster for me, I would drop him against
most match up even if they where the best as I loved him and with his
assassination threat there’s always a game. Morvahna 2, I don't think I need to
tell you how good she is, but I’m going to. She is amazing and that’s about it.
Third caster is one I have only been playing for about 6 weeks and I’ve fallen
in love with him, Kruger 2. After a few list I write got completely tabled, I
turned back to @Noddin_Dog to look at some lists, He came up with the list
I’m currently playing and credit to him I’m now winning games with him :)

So Blood and Oil, 6 games. I went 4-2
really happy with that result never had a result that good. Ended up at 20th on
the day, after a rework on tiebreaker today looks like I ended up 21st, and do
you know what I’m still stoked about it. Top third and I have worked by
butt of to get this result.
So the games.
Game 1.
First round I went up against Gave Roath (@Groath34) normally a Skorne player that I could never beat, now he is on Cryx and he is still a player I cannot beat. I ended up dropping Kromac as he pulled Terminus which to be honest I wasn't expecting him to drop. In hindsight I played this game with many mistakes and a few that I should really of known about before we started.

Firstly the game was going really well,
both of us playing smoothly, then I got the alpha on a few of his units with
Stalkers Berserking warpath triggering and lighting strikes away, Perfect. Then
the mistakes came. Terminus was about 17 inch’s away from one of my stalkers,
which was in the middle of stones. Like a fool I triggered warpath on that
stalker to get him closer, then Ported him his 8 inches, due t the warpath move
angle placing him within the 8 I was still about 3 inch’s away from terminus. If
I had done it in reverse, ported then triggered warpath with my Laser Prawn I
would of been there, the Assassination would still of been dice minus 5 if I
remember correctly but 3 dice to hit from Wild aggression with 6 attacks I
recon I could of got it on the dice, they may have been spiky dice but when
your 3-0 down on scenario and cant get near your or his flag to contest I had to
try and get it and I messed it up! The game went on I managed to contest my
flag so he wasn’t scoring on that flag and was pushing toward his to slow him
down.

shooting and zephering back trying to stay out of charge ranges. The game went
on and I ended up getting a point on my flag with Kromac there, only to realise
at the beginning of Gav's turn I couldn't of bought the extra attacks to kill
the last to bane knights contesting my flag as I have no spirit.....I activated
Kromac and forgot to heal him a health point before moving my feral in. That
was mistake number 2. Gav being a good lad just asked what should we do and I
said I couldn't buy the attacks so there not dead. So we place them back on the
board, he forfeited his vengeance as they where not on the table and to be
honest the time was getting close he was on 8 minutes on his clock I was on 4.
The Game whittled down to him winning 5-0
on scenario. After the game, which finished him on 4 minutes and me on 2, I was
thinking why was I on so little time then it struck.... Tough rolls should be
done on his time. Mistake number 3. Nothing could be done about it I was a fool
but I always enjoy playing Gav and I do look forward to playing him again at
some point in the future.
A Close game and with a few
major mistakes by me I still feel I gave him a good game, what would I do again
after this, I need to play more Cryx as we don’t really have a Cryx player
within a local meta I definitely need to play more.
What would I should of done
is used rift more to help clear the infantry that was in the way, I cant remember
at one point during the game where I cast it.... why the hell wasn’t I casting
Rift. Ah well the game is done and I need more Cryx practice.
